COMMENTARY

Flash MX Delivers More than Eye Candy: Macromedia's recent version of Flash MX greatly improves the usability of web applications and could in many instances make HTML obsolete. The revised plug-in brings the look and functionality of data-driven web sites much closer to that of easier to use desktop applications. Click here to view Flash MX in action.

Apple Flies High: Ellen Feiss, featured in one of Apple's 'Switch' TV ads, has reached a level of online celebrity that few would have imagined. Famous for her off beat delivery and seeming need for Visine, the newfound celebrity recently granted her long awaited first interview and has spawned numerous sites including: the Ellen Feiss Fan site, Ellen Feiss Frisbees for sale, and image gallery.

Razorfish Sells Out: Razorfish, who at one time had a market cap of 2 billion and over 1,800 employees, recently agreed to be purchased by the Internet consulting firm SBI for 8.2 million. Often seen as the epitome of the high flying Internet consulting companies Razorfish has joined numerous other peers either in bankruptcy or sold for fractions of their investment costs. Read more.
